According to Haike News, a video about Tesla Cyber Taxi recently aroused heated discussion among netizens.
The video shows that a man in the United States deliberately ran in front of a moving vehicle, repeatedly stretched his feet on the road and jumped into the lane to interfere. For safety protection logic, after the taxi detects sudden obstacles, it triggers emergency braking one after another.
After many such human disturbances, the vehicle stopped directly in the middle of the road and turned on its hazard warning lights, affecting normal traffic at the site.
It is reported that Tesla’s unmanned taxi service is now in regular operation in the United States. The service covers six cities: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. It operates 7 days a week throughout the year and operates daily from 6:00 to 22:00.
This new cyber taxi focuses on fully autonomous driving. The steering wheel, accelerator and brake pedals are completely eliminated from the body. It adopts a two-door, two-seater layout and relies on the Tesla FSD fully automatic driving system to complete the driving operation.
In terms of hardware configuration, the car is equipped with a 48kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a front-wheel drive motor with a maximum power of 163kW (approximately 219 horsepower). The vehicle has a curb weight of 1,412 kilograms and a comprehensive operating range of approximately 673 kilometers.
In terms of price, Tesla CEO Musk previously revealed that the price of Cyber Taxi will be controlled within US$30,000. (equivalent to approximately RMB 200,000).
