"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" themed Switch 2 and other products are out of stock in many places, and second-hand platforms are increasing prices

📅 2026-09-09

Abstract:

Shortly after the release of the "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" themed Nintendo Switch 2 and a variety of supporting products, some stores in the United States, Europe and Australia began to run out of stock. Products with tight supply include theme consoles, matching Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controllers and related limited products.

The child Link and girl Zelda amiibo launched at the same time have also attracted attention, and the physical version of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" has also seen a decrease in supply at some retailers. Some limited edition products have appeared on eBay and other platforms, with prices higher than the original price.

This batch of products coincides with the 40th anniversary of the "Legend of Zelda" series. The remake of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" is scheduled to be launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026, and the theme console and matching Pro controller will be launched a week in advance on October 29.

In addition to the theme console and controller, two new amiibo are planned to be launched in 2027. The current out-of-stock situation is concentrated in some stores, and there may still be differences in inventory in different regions and retail channels.
