Abstract:

Data from BambooHR, a human resources software company, shows that there may be a peak in leave applications on November 19, the release date of "GTA6". Application volume on this date is said to be up 9% to 17% compared to the typical third Thursday in November.

According to Money.com, the latest data from human resources software company BambooHR shows that the number of leave applications surged significantly on November 19. BambooHR pointed out that compared with the normal number of leave applications on the third Thursday in November, the number of leave applications on November 19 increased by 9%-17%. Although we cannot be sure whether everyone takes time off to play "GTA6", it is reasonable to speculate that most of the requests for leave are related to this.

Economists estimate that the release of "GTA 6" will result in a loss of US$1 billion in productivity in the United States. While we'll have to wait and see what impact this game will have on the world, it's clear that this is a massive event. Anticipations for GTA 6 are high, with it expected to be one of the biggest entertainment launches ever, possibly even the biggest.

Rockstar also spent heavily on promotion and launched a series of luxurious marketing activities; Rockstar spent $975,000 to install a huge neon pink billboard on the top of the Miami Heat's home arena. The developer also ran ads for in-game branding in Miami, as well as traditional banner ads featuring the game's key visuals. If players live in Miami, they can even visit Burger Shot, a fast food chain in the GTA world, in real life.

On November 18, the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks will play an unprecedented NBA game, when the Heat will transform into the "Sin City Heat." They will wear GTA6-themed jerseys and play on a never-before-seen Vice City stadium. This will surely be a fantastic event and will provide an effective final promotion for the game.

"GTA6" will be launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms on November 19. There are also rumors that the PC version will be launched in early 2027.
