Abstract:
The delivery time of HomePod mini from Apple’s online store has been extended in many countries and regions, and some colors are temporarily unavailable for delivery. The yellow and orange models in some zip code areas in the United States are no longer available for delivery. The blue and white models are expected to be delivered from October 14th to 21st, and the midnight color is expected to be delivered from October 12th to 14th. The waiting time for the orange models in the UK is six to eight weeks, and the same estimates are also given for the orange models in Germany, France, Australia and Japan. Canadian yellow and orange models are temporarily unavailable for delivery, and the specific time will vary depending on the region and postal code.

Out of stock does not appear suddenly. MacRumors discovered in mid-September that the orange model was unavailable for order in U.S. stores and that the delivery of the yellow model had been delayed until November. It also pointed out that the supply of HomePod mini has been intermittently tight for more than a year. The long waiting times in many places this time coincide with the increase in rumors of new models. However, the delivery delay itself cannot prove that Apple is about to release new products. It may also be related to inventory and supply arrangements.
Since Apple launched HomePod mini in 2020, it has not released a follow-up model. The current speaker is about 8.4 centimeters tall and equipped with an S5 chip. It uses full-range speakers and dual passive radiators. It supports 360-degree audio, Siri voice assistant and smart home control. It can also be used as a home hub to connect compatible HomeKit and Matter devices.
According to previous reports by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple may launch a new HomePod mini on October 13, and simultaneously update Apple TV and release a smart home hub. The new speaker is said to continue the appearance of the current design, upgrade the chip to support Siri AI, and add new colors; a product icon labeled "HomePod mini 2" has appeared in Apple's code, indicating that the new model may be available in green, pink, blue, white and black. However, Apple has yet to officially announce the product, specifications or release date, and the upgrade remains a rumor supported by reports and code clues.
