Summary:
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on Thursday, November 19th. Data released by BambooHR, a human resources software service provider, shows that the number of paid leave applications submitted by American employees on that day was 9% to 17% higher than the average for the same period in recent years.

This statistics comes from U.S. employees in the companies served by BambooHR. The company, which provides software services to more than 30,000 businesses, said the growth in leave applications was reflected at every point in time it was able to measure.
However, BambooHR cannot confirm whether the increase in vacation applications is directly caused by the release of "Grand Theft Auto VI". The company calls the statistic a "true and repeatably observable signal," but the data itself can only show that two events coincided in time.
Games also scheduled to be launched on November 19 include the early access title "Witch Showdown". There is currently no data on leave applications for the following Friday, so it is impossible to judge from the available data whether the relevant changes will extend to the day before the weekend.
"Grand Theft Auto VI" will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. "Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album", which contains 34 original songs from the game, is also scheduled to be released on the same day and will be released as a physical record.
