ZCode apologizes for uploading code base data: it has been fixed and will accept open source code base for third-party review

ZCode, a programming product owned by Zhipu, apologized to the affected users through the official Zhipu group today, and issued a response saying that it had completed a self-examination as soon as possible and the related issues have been fixed

According to the official explanation,

This problem stems from ZCode's "Code Base Index" function

. This function is designed to help users generate warehouse indexes locally to support session checkpoint recovery including historical versions, historical version rollback, and Repo Wiki. Among them, Repo Wiki may trigger warehouse data upload when generating Wiki pages. Officials said that after the Wiki page is generated in the cloud, the relevant uploaded data will be destroyed immediately and will not be saved. Since this feature was enabled by default during the initial launch, some users were affected.

In response to issues of data security and product trust, the official announced that the ZCode code base will be open sourced in the near future, and third-party evaluators will be invited to review the system operation and continue to disclose the progress of the product review. In addition, ZCode will provide an additional weekly quota reset for all users, which will be distributed starting today.
