Zuckerberg: Meta has caught up with competitors on the artificial intelligence frontier

📅 2026-10-13

Abstract:

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in an interview that with the release of the new model Muse Wonder, Meta has caught up with competitors at the "cutting edge" of AI. Zuckerberg added that the new system "will be able to complete much more complex tasks and reach the cutting-edge level of what is currently possible in the field of AI."

Muse Wonder will also adopt a "closed source" model, and its most powerful version will be sold directly to enterprises.

Zuckerberg hinted that Meta will further increase spending. He said that the company is "already researching the next stage" of technology, and model development is expected to be significantly accelerated.

When talking about AI security, Zuckerberg said that relevant security responsibilities should be borne by each laboratory.

Zuckerberg said: "Compared to the view of anthropomorphizing AI and thinking that it will do its own thing, I am more inclined to believe that AI is a technology that can be engineered with normal safeguards and developed in a responsible manner."
