Boeing's aircraft orders and deliveries fell in January as it grappled with the fallout from an incident in which a door fell off its 737 Max 9 aircraft during flight. The company delivered 27 aircraft in January, the lowest level since September 2023. In December last year, the company delivered 67 aircraft.
The company sold a total of three Boeing 737 Max aircraft in January, but sales contracts for three aircraft were cancelled.
Boeing's January aircraft deliveries were broadly in line with some analysts' expectations. Prior to these three total orders, Boeing sold a total of 371 aircraft in December.
In January, Boeing's competitor Airbus delivered a total of 30 aircraft.
