Just days after the launch of the HP Specter foldable PC, LG has also announced a foldable laptop. This product is called LGGramFold, and like HP's products, its price is also quite high. LG’s press release states that the device running Windows 11 is a 17-inch QXGA+ 1920×2560 OLED touch screen tablet with a 4:3 screen ratio. However, it folds into a 12-inch laptop, and the hinges can withstand up to 30,000 folds.

The LG GramFold's listing on the company's Korean website provides more hardware information. It will have a 13th-generation Intel Core i5-1335U processor, 16GB of memory, 512GB of storage, a 72-watt-hour battery, and three Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers.
This foldable display laptop from LG comes with a detachable keyboard, mouse and stylus. The device is 9.4mm at its thickest point when unfolded and weighs 1,250 grams without the keyboard.
LG GramFold is currently only available in limited quantities at the LG Electronics Best Store in South Korea, priced at 4.99 million won (approximately US$3,728.75).
However, the press release stated that the first 200 users to purchase LG Gram Fold will be able to buy it for 3.99 million won (approximately US$2,233.29). It includes some perks, such as one year of Microsoft 365 service.
Like the HP Specter Foldable, the LG Gram Fold is a first-generation device, so it has a lot of limitations, not to mention a hefty price tag. It may be a while before the price of foldable display laptops approaches the price of standard Windows laptops.
