GIGABYTE today launched the Gen44000E series of value model M.2 NVMe SSDs, and as it says on the box, these drives utilize the PCI-Express Gen4 host interface. These drives make up the company's new entry-level M.2NVMe SSD series.

The new product is available in three capacities: 250GB, 500GB and 1TB, and is mainly aimed at those who like to buy high-priced processor + motherboard + memory + SSD bundled products in DIY retail channels. The company didn't specify the type of controller and NAND flash memory, but we know from the spec sheet that it uses a DRAM-less controller.

The 1TB version (model: G440E1TB) has a sequential read speed of 4GB/s and a sequential write speed of 3.9GB/s.

The speed of the 500GB and 250GB models does not require a PCIe4.0 interface to provide full speed. The 500GB model (G440E500G) has a continuous read speed of 3.6GB/s and a continuous write speed of 3GB/s. The 250GB (G440E250G) model has sequential read speeds of 3.5GB/s and sequential write speeds of 1.8GB/s.


In terms of durability, the 1TB model is 320TBW, the 500GB model is 300TBW, and the 250GB model is 150TBW. All three models come with a 3-year warranty. The company did not disclose the price of the new product line.
