Sennheiser has just released the ACCENTUM wireless headphones, which have the pedigree of MOMENTUM4 and contain hybrid active noise reduction technology. Its 37mm dynamic sensor is optimized for ANC performance, which can significantly reduce noise from the outside world by combining passive isolation and concealed microphones for low and high frequencies.
ACCENTUM offers more ways to consume content than ever before, can be controlled using Bluetooth 5.2 and multipoint connectivity, and supports aptXHD codecs, AAC and SBC codecs.
In addition to up to 50 hours of use per charge, ACCENTUM can be "quickly charged" for 5 more hours of listening in just 10 minutes. The included USB-C charging cable can also convert wireless headphones to wired headphones when conditions do not allow or Bluetooth is enabled; simply plug the USB cable into a standard-compliant device to use ACCENTUM as an audio interface for content consumption and voice communication. Its long-lasting battery has the added benefit of extending the time it takes the earphones to reach their maximum number of charge cycles over their lifetime, thus reducing e-waste.
ACCENTUM also supports voice calls with two built-in microphones and a dedicated wind reduction mode, and adjustable sidetone with advanced signal processing makes conversations feel natural and fatigue-free while minimizing background distractions. Multipoint seamlessly switches active wireless connections from one Bluetooth device to another without having to re-pair the devices, which is a boon for people who frequently make VoIP calls on their computer but play podcasts on their phone between meetings.
Thanks to a simplified 4-button layout and optional companion smartphone app, users can intuitively control ACCENTUM's functions. From managing Bluetooth connections and features to trying out the 5-band equalizer, the Smart Control app enhances the headphone experience and can store user presets and provide updates to keep ACCENTUM's features running smoothly as more connected devices grow.
ACCENTUM is designed with long-term wearing comfort in mind. The earcup and headband padded contact points easily conform to the wearer's body shape and are soft to the touch, always giving a safe and natural feeling. This characteristic is echoed by the MOMENTUM4 Wireless's compact folding design, giving the entire headphone series a cohesive look with a focus on sound and ergonomics.
ACCENTUM Wireless is available in black and white with sandstone accents. Pre-orders for the black colorway will begin on September 26, 2023, and will begin shipping on October 4. The white version will begin shipping in late November, and both models are available at select retailers and Sennheiser-hearing.com. The new ACCENTUM Wireless has a suggested retail price of $179.95.
