An official PPT leaked recently showed that,The new Ripper will be released this fall, with up to 96 cores. The overall performance is 20% higher than now, and the rendering performance is up to 75% higher than the 56-core Xeon W9-3495X.
Now, a new version of the authoritative hardware tool CPU-Z2.08 has been released, and one of the update logs clearly reads:
Supports AMD Threadripper PRO7995WX (96 cores), 7985WX (64 cores), 7975WX (32 cores), 7955WX (16 cores), and 7945WX.
These models and core numbers are completely consistent with previous rumors. Although the lowest-end 7945WX does not clearly list the number of cores, it is a reasonable guess to have 12 cores.
Other leaked data shows that the thermal design power consumption of the five new Rippers is unified at 350W, 70W more than now.
The maximum acceleration frequency of 7995WX is 5.1GHz, the base frequency of 7975WX is 4.0GHz, and the 7955WX is 4.5-5.1GHz.
In addition, the memory is upgraded to DDR5 and the expansion is upgraded to PCIe5.0.
Other updates for CPU-Z2.08 include:
- Improved support for Intel Meteor Lake (Core Ultra)
-Supports Intel 14th generation Core i5-14500/T, i5-14400/F/T, i3-14100/F/T, 300/T (dual core)
-Initial support for AMDEPYCBergamo (Zen4c)
-Fixed delays caused by version checking
