Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Corporation ("Toshiba") announced the launch of the MG10F series 22TB hard drive, a conventional magnetic recording (CMR) mechanical hard drive using Toshiba's 10-disk helium seal design. A key building block for cloud and storage infrastructure, the MG10F22TB offers 10% more storage capacity than Toshiba's previous-generation 20TB model.

The MG10F series 22TB hard drives are designed to meet the growing data storage needs of large customers and are compatible with a variety of applications and workloads at both cloud scale and traditional data centers.

The high-capacity 22TB MG10F series hard drives help cloud-scale infrastructure achieve higher storage density at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

The MG10F Series drives feature 7,200 rpm performance, 550TB annual workloads, SAS and SATA interface options, and feature energy-efficient helium sealing and an industry-standard 3.5-inch drive form factor.
