The 2023 China (Tianjin) International Automobile Exhibition opens today (28th). At the China Automobile Overseas Forum, the head of the Automobile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade said,It is expected that my country's automobile export volume will exceed 4 million units this year, and it is expected to become the world's largest automobile exporter.The data shows,From January to August this year, my country exported 2.941 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 61.9%.
China's automobile exports have ushered in rapid development. In recent years, not only has the export volume exceeded the 2 million and 3 million mark, but the price of a single vehicle has also increased significantly, from 85,000 yuan in 2018 to 122,000 yuan in 2022. The export areas have also gradually expanded to developed regional markets such as Europe and North America.
Wang Xia, Chairman of the Automotive Industry Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said: The reason why Chinese cars are welcomed by more and more overseas consumers is because they feel the comparative advantages of Chinese cars in electrification and intelligence.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that in the first half of this year, China exported 2.341 million complete vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 76.9%, surpassing Japan's 2.02 million vehicles, becoming the world's largest automobile exporter. And if exports exceed 4 million vehicles this year, it is expected that the advantage of the largest exporting country will last throughout the year.
Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, also analyzed that,my country's new energy automobile industry has leading advantages, the industrial chain is relatively complete and stable, and the products are highly competitive.Looking at this year, we expect that the export of cars throughout the year will exceed 4 million units, of which new energy vehicles will steadily exceed 1 million units.
