Edge Magazine recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, and as part of that, it conducted its largest poll ever, combining votes from readers, staff, and game industry professionals to identify the 100 greatest games of the past 30 years.
In this list, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" takes the top spot, and the media summarizes it as: the ultimate combination of creativity and technology, no different from magic. The top 10 games also include: second place "Dark Souls", third place "Super Mario 64", fourth place "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time", fifth place "Resident Evil 4", sixth place "Halo: Combat Evolved", seventh place "Half-Life 2", eighth place "Portal", ninth place "Elden's Ring", tenth place "Doom". In addition, "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom", the sequel to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", ranked 20th on the list.
