Recently,The main structure of the B/C section of BOE's 8.6th generation AMOLED production line project, constructed by China Construction First Engineering Group Co., Ltd., has been topped out.It is understood that the project is located in the High-tech West District of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, with a total investment of 63 billion yuan, and a total construction area of B/C section of approximately 552,000 square meters.This production line is the first 8.6-generation AMOLED production line in China and the second in the world.

The production line project will be constructed in two phases and is expected to be mass-produced by the end of 2026.
Chen Yanshun, chairman of BOE, said that the completion of the 8.6th generation AMOLED production line project will become the world's most technologically advanced and largest medium-sized OLED display device production base.
It is reported that,The project has a designed production capacity of 32,000 glass substrates per month (size 2290mmx2620mm). The planned product is 8.6-generation AMOLED panels, mainly targeting medium-sized AMOLED panels.
It adopts a technical route that is different from the existing 6th generation AMOLED panels (mainly used in mobile phones), and is mainly used in mid-to-high-end laptops, tablets and other products.
