According to news on October 23, on Sunday local time, Elon Musk, CEO of the American electric car manufacturer Tesla, and his son XÆA-12 appeared at the Formula One racing event in Texas. Live footage shows that Musk also brought a Cybertruck electric pickup truck.
A user on social media Shortly thereafter, numerous people spotted Musk and his son, XÆA-12, in audience footage, confirming their attendance at the event.
The Austin event, the 2023 Austin Grand Prix of the United States, is planned to be held from October 20th to 22nd at the Circuit of the Americas near Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory. A short video shows that Musk and his son XÆA-12 are watching the game with headphones. Additionally, the XÆA-12 can be seen in the video taking off the headphones from its head, while Musk is wearing his classic aviator sunglasses.
Musk has said in the past that he admires racing and Formula One. In recent months, he and his son XÆA-12 have made public appearances at various car events.
Earlier this year, after watching the Miami Grand Prix in May, Musk also suggested there should be a Formula One event featuring electric and hybrid cars. Formula 1 currently has an electric car division, known as Formula E, but it can't match the top speeds that regular gasoline cars can achieve.
Musk was reportedly sitting in the Mercedes-Benz garage with the XÆA-12 at the Austin Grand Prix, and he was in the Red Bull garage when he appeared in May.
In October last year, the Formula E championship reached record viewership levels, up 20% compared to previous seasons.
