Windows 1122H2 ISO briefly appeared on Microsoft servers as the tech giant prepares for a public release. While Windows 1123H2 may not be a major update in the history of Windows 11, its release process is still essential because it resets the Windows update cycle, which is important.

The Windows update cycle reset means extending support for all supported hardware, which is important considering the company plans to release Windows vNext, or "Windows 12," in 2024. This makes 23H2 the last major version of Windows 11.

While our sources already knew from earlier evidence that Windows 1123H2 would start rolling out sometime in October or November, a new leak confirms that the update could start rolling out any time, with the ISO having been pushed to servers over the weekend.

Microsoft has released two versions of Windows 1123H2ISO - English version (US) and Chinese version. This means the update is "complete" and "ready" for commercial rollout. In the coming days, we'll likely learn more about how the tech giant plans to release updates.

As we mentioned at the beginning and in previous reports, version 23H2 is essential because it resets the update cycle, giving you more time to use Windows 11 and update regularly before Windows 12 is ready. Version "22H2" is the latest Windows version currently, and has been updated regularly every month since its launch in September 2022.

According to Microsoft's life cycle policy, Windows 1122H2 Home Edition, Professional Edition, Professional Education Edition and Workstation Professional Edition will be supported until October 8, 2024, while Windows 11 Enterprise Edition and Education Edition will be retained until October 14, 2025.

This means that after these dates, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, or technical support for these versions of Windows 11. Therefore, users are advised to eventually upgrade to the next major version of Windows 11, "23H2", which will be available as an optional update soon.

Windows 1122H2 received the most important update "Moment 4" on September 26, which contains many new features, including the highly anticipated Microsoft Copilot.

Features bundled in this version will also be released with "Windows 11 version 23H2". These include WindowsCopilot, taskbar grouping, labels, etc.

In addition to all the features of Moment 4, version 23H2 will add a new system components page, a new Microsoft Teams (free) app (which will replace the chat button on the taskbar), notification center improvements, the ability to rename devices in Nearby settings, and some minor bug fixes.
