Compared with the exterior design, the interior parts of the new platform have undergone greater changes. Although the spy photos cannot capture details inside the car, BMW has previously announced that it will popularize the panoramic head-up display and minimalist interior design language on the NeueKlasse platform, and replace the decades-old iDrive knob with flat-bottom steering wheel controls.

The NeueKlasse platform will introduce BMW's new cylindrical sixth-generation lithium battery, which will increase the energy density by 20%, the charging speed by 30%, and the cruising range by 30%. The new generation iX3 will be mass-produced at the Debrecen plant in Hungary in July 2025. After the technology and process are verified, it will be imported to the San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico to supply the North American market.
