On July 6, Tesla officially announced that Model Y L would be launched simultaneously in the United States, Puerto Rico and the United Arab Emirates. According to reports, in the U.S. market, the Model Y L is initially priced at US$61,990 (approximately 421,000 yuan), and is only available in all-wheel drive and long wheelbase versions.

According to reports, the wheelbase of Model Y L is 150mm (5.9 inches) longer than the regular version of Model Y, reaching 3040mm. The body length is increased by about 180mm (7 inches). A third row of seats is added to the rear row, adopting a 2+2+2 six-seat layout. Among them, the second row is equipped with two independent executive chairs, which provide heating, ventilation, and one-button reclining functions. The third row supports heating, backrest adjustment, and has a child seat fixed interface.

In terms of performance, Model Y L has an acceleration time of 0-60 miles (approximately 96.6 kilometers) of about 4.4 seconds and an EPA range of 325 miles (approximately 523 kilometers), which is faster than the regular Model Y. It has 89 cubic feet (approximately 2520 liters) of cargo space, and provides a 19-speaker system, an 8-inch secondary screen in the second row, a 50W wireless charging pad, adaptive suspension, upgraded soundproof glass and other configurations.
