The reporter learned from China Eastern Airlines that at 9:47 a.m. that day, the domestic large aircraft C919 with the aircraft number B-657T performed the MU9002 adjustment flight from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and officially joined the China Eastern Airlines fleet. This is the fifth C919 aircraft that China Eastern Airlines has received since 2024 as the world's first user of C919. It is also the ninth aircraft in China Eastern Airlines' C919 fleet, and it is also the first C919 aircraft with cabin LAN service function. This service is provided through domestically produced equipment, creating a richer and more flexible in-flight entertainment experience for passengers.
China Eastern Airlines said that on this C919, passengers’ seats have a “Cabin LAN” prompt label. Passengers can use personal mobile electronic devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) with WiFi function to search and connect to the wireless LAN hotspot "CEAIR-WIFI" after turning on airplane mode, open the browser and visit www.muflyer.com to enter the LAN platform.
China Eastern Airlines’ ninth C919 has entered the fleet. This C919 passenger aircraft is equipped with cabin LAN service function.
This cabin LAN service is currently in trial operation and will continue to be optimized. In the next step, it will be expanded to all aircraft in the C919 fleet of China Eastern Airlines.
