Back in June of this year, Anthropic introduced the concept of projects into its Claude experience. Project Claude allows users to better organize their chat activities. Each project can have a custom set of instructions and unified responses based on uploaded files. A new piece of news leaked today shows that OpenAI’s ChatGPT will also launch a similar feature called “Project”.

Through the ChatGPT project, users will be able to save chat history, files and custom instructions in one place. Users can create multiple projects according to their needs.

ChatGPT project features:

  • Ability to select specific output language.

  • Choose the tone and writing style of your output.

  • Documents, pictures, code files, etc. can be attached to provide a basis for replying.

  • Custom instructions can be added to adjust how ChatGPT responds in projects. For example, users can add "Reply in Chinese, refer to the latest OpenAIAPI documentation. Use bullet points to list the reply content."

  • Custom instructions can be up to 8,000 characters long.

As part of the ongoing '12Days of OpenAI' campaign, OpenAI expects to make new announcements every working day until December 20th. Yesterday, OpenAI announced the following two important news.

  • The new ChatGPTPro plan costs $200 per month and provides unlimited access to o1, o1-mini and GPT-4o, unlimited access to premium voice, and exclusive access to o1pro mode.

  • o1 inference mode has exited preview and is officially released. The new O1 model is faster and performs better in coding, math, and writing than the O1 preview version. In addition, the o1 model now supports image upload.

  • OpenAI may officially announce the ChatGPT project at the "12 Days of OpenAI" event in the next few days. These upcoming announcements will further solidify OpenAI’s position as a market leader in artificial intelligence.
