Today (January 3), Atari officially announced the appearance of the new handheld console "Gamestation Go" at CES 2025. As of press time, the official has not yet announced the specific configuration of the handheld console, which will be released within the year. Atari has been owned by multiple entities since its founding in 1972, and is currently owned by Atari Interactive, Inc., a subsidiary of French game publisher Atari SA (formerly Enborg).

The original Atari, Inc. was founded in 1972 in Sunnyvale, California, by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney. It was also an early pioneer in arcades, home electronic game consoles, and home computers. The release of many classic early computer games such as "Pong" and "Comets" made Atari important in the history of video games. The classic game console is the Atari 2600 released in 1977.
