In iOS 18.3, Apple made a small but meaningful change to the way the Calculator app works, which reintroduces repeating actions. The app now repeats the last math operation when you tap the equal sign twice. For example, if you enter 5x5 and click the equal sign, the result is 25. If you click the equal sign again, it will multiply by 25x5, and it will continue to multiply by 5 each time you click the equal sign.

Before iOS 18, repeat operations were an option in the Calculator app, but iOS 18 removed this feature. Users who missed this feature will regain it after updating to iOS 18.3. Being able to repeat operations is very useful for calculating compound interest.

It should be noted that this feature was also missing in macOS15, but the macOS15.3 update restored this feature.
