According to the official Weibo of "China Optics Valley", the construction of the Xiaomi Wuhan Science and Technology Park and Kingsoft Group Wuhan Headquarters projects located on Optics Valley 4th Road in Wuhan has recently entered the sprint stage.Xiaomi Wuhan Science and Technology Park will be completed by the end of this year, and Kingsoft Group’s Wuhan headquarters project will be completed at the beginning of next year.In the future, these two adjacent parks can accommodate more than 10,000 R&D personnel.

Xiaomi Wuhan Science and Technology Park has built a large R&D center focusing on R&D, industrial parks and intelligent manufacturing. It has a total construction area of ​​approximately 142,000 square meters and consists of 10 single buildings, including office buildings, factories and supporting buildings.

In December last year, the main structure of the first phase of the project was fully capped, and it is expected to be completed and accepted in December this year.

According to the official introduction, after completion, Xiaomi Group will leverage its core technological advantages such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing to assist the high-quality development of Wuhan’s digital economy.

Xiaomi Technology Park

This park is also another showcase of the results of Xiaomi’s vigorous research and development.Lei Jun has previously stated that Xiaomi’s R&D investment is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan in the next five years.

Lei Jun predicts that Xiaomi’s total annual R&D investment in 2023 will exceed 20 billion yuan.

Jinshan Science and Technology Park

Kingsoft’s Wuhan headquarters has an investment of 4 billion yuan, covering an area of ​​about 118 acres, with a total construction area of ​​about 290,000 square meters. It plans three main areas: office buildings, apartment buildings, and canteen buildings. It also has supporting facilities such as businesses and sports fields, and can accommodate more than 9,000 employees.

All the buildings in the project were capped on April 30 this year. As of November 22, the basement and main structural engineering of the project have been completed. The mechanical and electrical engineering and curtain wall engineering are also nearing completion. It is planned to be completed in early 2024.
