Recently, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. From now on,Recall some imported R18 series motorcycles produced between December 1, 2020 and December 12, 2023, a total of 3,818 vehicles.
For motorcycles within the scope of this recall, due to poor sealing of the reverse control unit, moisture may enter its interior. After long-term operation (more than two years) in high-temperature and high-humidity climate areas, it may cause corrosion of the internal circuit and cause the reverse function to fail.In extreme cases, the reverse control unit may overheat, posing a risk of fire.
BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will entrust authorized dealers to install protective relays for the reverse control units of vehicles within the recall scope and restore the connections of the reverse control units to eliminate potential safety hazards.
