China Baowu Taigang Group recently held a "hand-shredded steel" product brand launch conference.Launched two types of precision foil products: superconducting materials and masks.The advent of these two new types of products not only fills the gap in the domestic industry, but also breaks through my country's key material bottlenecks in the fields of superconducting materials and flexible displays, providing an important guarantee for the security of the industrial chain.

As the core result of technological breakthroughs,The "hand-shredded steel" developed by TISCO Group breaks industry records with its ultimate thickness of 0.02 mm and ultra-wide size of 600 mm. This stainless steel precision strip that can be torn apart with bare hands demonstrates my country's leading level in the field of ultra-thin material processing.

In 2023, the team further overcame the problem of Hastelloy C276 material processing. After many technological breakthroughs, it designed and developed a specific production process and rolling process, as well as special rollers and a full-process multi-dimensional tension control process, successfully achieving mass production of precision foils for high-temperature superconducting substrates with large roll weights and meter lengths. At present, the thickness of this product is 0.03 mm, the maximum length can reach 5,000 meters, and the domestic market share is as high as 80%.

In the field of key consumables for the photolithography process, Taiyuan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. has made major breakthroughs in the research and development of precision foil materials for masks launched in 2022. This product has extremely strict requirements on the production environment (it needs to eliminate interference from mosquitoes, vibrations and dust). The R&D team finally succeeded in preparing a cutting-edge "hand-shredded steel" product with a thickness of only 0.025 mm and an accuracy of 1 micron.

According to engineers, 2 million to 4 million uniformly distributed micropores can be observed under a 200x microscope on a sample the size of a mobile phone screen. Its translucent characteristics and precise hole array structure indicate that this product has become one of the world's top mask materials.
