According to domestic media reports, as soon as the interview started, a Xiaomi employee quickly walked up to Lei Jun with his mobile phone and showed him the latest booking data:2 minutes, 196,000, 122,000 units locked; 3 minutes exceeded 200,000 units.

One hour later, this number became 289,000 units.

Xiaomi has been at the top of the tech world since it announced it would build a car.

When talking about the negative effects caused by Xiaomi’s high popularity, Lei Jun said:"No matter which company is super popular, its public opinion is extremely complicated. This is also a difficulty brought about by the self-media era, or the traffic era."
