On October 9, Realme Vice President Xu Qi announced on his Weibo, realme and Ricoh Imaging officially reach imaging strategic cooperation. Ricoh's classic GR series camera imaging style will be introduced into smartphone products for the first time.

According to reports, the cooperation between the two parties is not a simple brand co-branding, but aFour years of in-depth technology co-creation. Since 2021, the realme team and Ricoh GR team have started communication. During this period, the two parties not only conducted dozens of rounds of technical seminars and factory visits, realme even sent a team of engineers to Ricoh to conduct joint research and development with Ricoh's optical and color engineers, aiming to faithfully restore the highly regarded image quality of Ricoh GR series cameras, the "Ricoh GR flavor", on the mobile phone.

The coverage of this cooperation is extremely deep, from the bottom-level sensor adjustment to the upper-level light and shadow algorithms, color science, and even the unique street photography philosophy of the Ricoh GR series, which have become the focus of joint research and development by both parties. Xu Qi said that the goal of the cooperation is to allow mobile phones to truly understand and use the "light and shadow language" of Ricoh GR cameras.

The first product of this strategic cooperation will be the upcoming annual flagship mobile phone Realme GT 8 Pro. This model will have unique market competitiveness in terms of imaging, especially street photography and light and shadow expression.
