"Times" stated that from drones to self-driving cars, most of today's robots are not the humanoid robots imagined in science fiction works. One exception is the R1 from Yushu Technology.
Currently, humans have a total of 300 joints, and R1 has 26, allowing it to complete complex actions such as boxing, running, and somersaults.
DeepSeek’s R1 inference large model was selected into the AI invention list.
"Times" said that at the beginning of this year, the DeepSeek-R1 advanced inference model turned out to be the "first shot that resounded around the world" in the field of AI.
In just a few months, DeepSeek developed a model that rivaled OpenAI's then-state-of-the-art products in industry standard tests, and cost only $6 million to train.
The computing power required by this model is only a fraction of that of American competitors, and it is still free and open to use.
In the field of consumer electronics, Apple and Huawei are on the list together.
Apple’s shortlisted product is AirPods Pro 3, and Huawei’s Pura 80 Ultra.
"Times" said that the Pura 80 Ultra is a smartphone designed for people who like to use their mobile phones to record the world around them. It can take detailed and colorful photos and videos regardless of the lighting conditions.
BYD Seagull was shortlisted for inventions in the field of transportation.
"Times" said that BYD is already a household name in other regions outside the United States.
As BYD's star model, the Seagull is the company's cheapest electric car, with a listing price of 73,800 yuan (approximately $10,300).
In June this year, the one millionth Seagull rolled off the assembly line; earlier this year, it was launched in 15 European markets.
