This afternoon, Qualcomm officially released the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8, equipped with a customized Qualcomm Oryon CPU with a maximum frequency of up to 3.8GHz.It adopts a 2+6 architecture with all large cores, with 2 super large cores with a maximum frequency of 3.8GHz and 6 performance cores with a maximum frequency of 3.32Ghz.

Compared with the third-generation Snapdragon 8, the CPU single-thread has increased by 35%, multi-thread has increased by 36%, and the power consumption is 42% higher.
The jump in processing power can support smoother multi-tasking, faster response speed and better energy efficiency in high-demand application scenarios.
Compared with competing products, the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 has a 36% lead in power consumption control and a 12% lead in performance.

In addition, the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 is also equipped with the new Qualcomm Adreno GPU, which adopts an innovative slicing architecture to support higher clock speeds, improve game and graphics processing performance by 11%, and lead in power consumption by 28%.

According to official measured data, in the extremely high-definition 60-frame mode of "Genshin Impact", the average frame rate for half an hour reaches 60.39fps, which is as stable as a straight line throughout the entire process, while the power consumption is 16% lower than competing products.
In the smooth quality 165-frame mode of "Operation Delta", the average frame rate in one hour is 164.34fps, which is enough to win first.
In addition to performance improvements, the energy efficiency of the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 has also been improved by 13%, which can increase the game time by 1.5 hours, balancing performance and battery life.
