South Korean semiconductor giant SK Hynix recently made an unexpected cross-border move:They collaborated with 7-Eleven to launch a potato chip called "HBM Chips", which has been sold in 7-Eleven stores across South Korea. The "HBM Chips" here are a clever pun, referring to SK Hynix's world-leading High Bandwidth Memory (HBM).

It is also the abbreviation of Honey (honey) Banana (banana) Mat (Korean "flavor") Chips, which combines the concept of high-tech products with snack food.

SK Hynix stated that the original intention of this cooperation was to shorten the distance between the general public and semiconductor technology. "For most people, semiconductors feel too far away, but snacks are an experience that everyone can enjoy. This is why we decided to transform technology into a new language - taste. This is the core and starting point of HBM Chips."

The chips are also unique in design, being shaped into a square shape to mimic the shape of HBM's semiconductor chips and coated with a unique honey-banana flavored chocolate coating.

In order to further attract consumers, each pack of "HBM Chips" snacks will randomly come with one of 30 different character stickers. Customers can use the numbers on the stickers to participate in lucky draws, and the prizes even include pure gold.
