Nintendo announced on November 27 that it had signed an equity transfer agreement with Bandai Namco to acquire its subsidiary Bandai Namco Studios Singapore Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as BNSS). Bandai Namco Studio Singapore will become a subsidiary of Nintendo and continue its development operations after being renamed "Nintendo Studios Singapore".

As one of the overseas bases of the Bandai Namco Group, BNSS is a development company that specializes in the production of game art materials. The company has participated in some development work for games produced and published by Nintendo such as the "Splatoon" series, and has maintained a long-term cooperative relationship with Nintendo.

Therefore, Nintendo decided to strengthen the group's development system by acquiring BNSS equity. Nintendo plans to acquire 80% of BNSS shares on April 1, 2026, provided that relevant conditions are met. The remaining shares will be acquired after the subsidiary's operations have stabilized for a period of time.
