Recently, CDPR announced the content of its third quarter financial report. The financial report revealed that the "Cyberpunk 2" project team has expanded to 135 people. "Cyberpunk 2" plans to continue to expand the team until 2027. By 2027, the team size in Warsaw, Poland and Vancouver, Canada will be stable at 180 people. The Boston team is undergoing rapid expansion and is expected to reach 350 people in 2027.
Currently, R&D resources are mainly invested in the two core projects of "The Witcher 4" (447 people) and "Cyberpunk 2" (135 people).
The financial report also shows that the global cumulative sales of "Cyberpunk 2077" have reached 35 million copies, driving sales revenue in a single quarter to PLN 3.49 billion (approximately RMB 6.751 billion), a year-on-year increase of 53%. Net profit achieved 1.93 billion zlotys (approximately RMB 3.734 billion), a year-on-year increase of 148%, and gross sales profit margin increased to 75%. As of October 31, the size of CDPR's R&D team has increased to 851 people.
CDPR stated that "Cyberpunk 2" is currently in the pre-production stage. Currently, more than 90% of the developers at the Boston Center have participated in the development of 3A masterpieces such as "God of War" and "GTA".
