A new poster for director Nolan's new film "The Odyssey", an epic war movie, has been released.The new poster is based on a cold blue-gray foggy background, creating a mysterious and solemn atmosphere."Odyssey" is written and directed by Nolan, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, and Charlize Theron. It will be released in IMAX format on July 17, 2026.
The film is adapted from Homer's epic poem of the same name, telling the story of Odysseus' long journey back home after the Trojan War.
The original work of "The Odyssey" tells the story of the Greek hero Odysseus (called "Ulysses" in Roman mythology) returning home after the fall of Troy. After the ten-year Trojan War ended, Odysseus wandered for another ten years before returning to his hometown of Ithaca.
He was thought dead at a time when his wife Penelope and son Telemachus were facing a group of wanton suitors vying to marry Penelope.
