Director Zack Snyder sent his New Year's greetings to fans and shared a rare behind-the-scenes archival photo from the filming of Man of Steel.
In the photo, Henry Cavill is having his first fitting of the Superman suit, and it can be seen that there are obvious differences between the suit and the version that eventually appeared in the movie. Snyder revealed that it was this test photo that became the key basis for Warner Bros. Pictures’ final decision to cast Cavill as Superman.
"We showed it to Warner Bros. and everyone agreed - Henry Cavill is our Superman," Snyder said. "That's where the journey started."
According to Snyder, this photo also became the starting point for shaping the image of Superman, which later appeared in films such as "Man of Steel," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League."
