In August last year, ASUS launched a new flagship graphics card: ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090. This is a limited edition graphics card, with only 1,000 units produced to commemorate ASUS's 30th anniversary in the graphics card business. Due to well-known reasons, China can currently only provide RTX 5090 D V2 at most, but ASUS has not ignored the Chinese mainland market and brought RTX 5090 D V2 ROG Matrix hacker graphics card. At present, the new products have been launched on the e-commerce platform, and reservations are available for purchase.
The new graphics card continues the design ideas of the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 50 series, equipped with an air-cooled heat dissipation system built with four fans. According to ASUS, this design can increase airflow and wind pressure by up to 20%, and also adds liquid gold thermal conductive materials, vapor chambers and high-density fin modules. This is also a graphics card that supports BTF 2.5 design, further demonstrating ASUS’s new attempts at graphics card heat dissipation and structure.
ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 has an overall size of 357.6 x 149.3 x 76 mm and a thickness of 3.8 slots. It is designed in the classic red and black color of ROG "Prodigal Eye" and adopts an arc-shaped infinity reflector design. There is a unique ring on the rear fan with an acrylic plate with the "ROG MATRIX" logo on it. It also supports Aura Sync synchronized lighting effects, making it easy to present customized lighting effects with other supported devices.
In addition to the conventional 12V-2×6 power supply interface, ASUS has also added a detachable GC-HPWR power supply interface to achieve compatibility with standard and BTF motherboards. The dual power supply input design can support up to 800W power, which is far higher than the 575W of the public version. The acceleration frequency in the default mode has also reached 2730MHz, which is 323MHz higher than the 2407MHz of the public version, with an amplitude of 13.4%. In overclocking mode, the acceleration frequency can be further increased to 2760MHz.
