Recently, the video of the whole process of his wife giving birth in the United States, posted by "Paul in America", a blogger with tens of millions of fans, caused controversy in public opinion. The video completely recorded the blogger's wife's 23-hour labor process. The video showed that the wife suffered a third-degree tear during delivery, postpartum hemorrhage symptoms, and a blood loss of up to 3,344 milliliters. After emergency surgery and blood transfusion treatment in the hospital, she was finally out of danger and the mother and daughter were safe.

As the incident continues to unfold, the platform has taken measures to ban the account "Paul in the United States". At present, the account homepage clearly shows that the user has been banned for violating relevant laws, regulations and platform policies.
Late at night on February 12, lawyer Zhou Zhaocheng issued a special lawyer's statement in response to the public opinion caused by blogger "Paul in America"'s birth record video, focusing on responding to various issues of public concern. Mr. Paul and his wife also simultaneously admitted that the content scale was not considered carefully and apologized to the public.
The statement made it clear that Mr. Paul and his wife acknowledged that during the creation and release of this fertility record, there were indeed problems with "inadequate consideration of details such as content scale and privacy boundaries", which caused misunderstandings to the public. For this, the two felt deeply guilty and sorry, and have deeply reflected on it.
At the same time, the statement clarified and explained one by one in response to the four core issues hotly discussed on the Internet:
First, there are issues regarding consent and privacy in filming the birth process.
The statement pointed out that the shooting of the birth record involved in the case was a mutual wish reached by Mr. Paul and his wife before giving birth. The original intention was to preserve the beautiful memories of important family moments in the form of video and celebrate the birth of new life. The entire shooting was based on the wife's voluntariness and approval.
The content of the video released to the public has also been personally screened and reviewed by the wife, and the scenes involving personal privacy have been blurred accordingly. The statement online that "ignores the wishes of the partner and excessively consumes privacy" is inconsistent with the facts.
Second, regarding the accompanying and emotional issues during the filming process.
The statement clarified that Mr. Paul personally accompanied his wife as a husband throughout the delivery room. All filming activities were approved by the medical staff. The entire process did not interfere with the normal diagnosis and treatment work of the medical staff, nor did it affect his care for his wife.
Third, regarding postpartum photography and physical recuperation.
The statement stated that Mr. Paul’s wife was diagnosed with third-degree tear and massive bleeding after childbirth. After receiving professional treatment at the hospital, her physical condition is gradually recovering.
All subsequent related shootings were carried out under the premise that the attending doctor professionally assessed his physical condition and confirmed that he met the conditions for the activity, and all were voluntarily participated by his wife. Mr. Paul only cooperated with the care throughout the process and has never acted "forcibly or contrary to health principles." Currently, his wife is still recuperating in strict accordance with the doctor's instructions.
Fourth, regarding matters related to commercial cooperation in the video. The statement stated that the maternal and infant-related products appearing in the video were business cooperation content that Mr. Paul had communicated and confirmed with relevant parties in advance.

It is worth noting that in response to this public opinion incident, Paul and his wife also jointly issued a response to further explain and apologize to the public.
