Recently, some media reported that Meizu will terminate its mobile phone business and that relevant adjustments will be implemented as soon as March. Currently, Meizu’s official store shows,All its mobile phone products are in "restocking" or "sold out" status, including Meizu 21, Meizu 21 PRO, Meizu 22, Meizu Note 16 Pro, etc., and cannot be purchased directly.

Among them, Meizu 22 is Meizu’s latest flagship model. It will be released in September 2025. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen4 chip and features the world’s narrowest physical quadrilateral design of 1.2mm.
It is worth noting thatMeizu once proposed the goal of "returning to the top five in the domestic mid-to-high-end market within three years" in 2023.

Now that the three-year deadline has expired, not only has the goal not been achieved, but the mobile phone business itself is also facing rumors of adjustments.
Looking back at history, Meizu was one of the early representative brands of domestic smartphones.
In February 2009, Meizu successfully transformed from the MP3 business and launched the first domestic smartphone M8. Sales exceeded 500 million yuan within five months of its launch.
The M9 released in 2011 triggered a craze of offline queuing to buy, and the popularity was comparable to the iPhone 4.
