AMD announced the new Ryzen AI PRO 400 series at this week's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, including Ryzen AI PRO 400 processors designed specifically for desktop platforms. These new products complement the Ryzen AI 400 series (non-PRO version) announced at CES this year and existing mobile workstation products, all based on Zen 5 architecture and RDNA 3.5 graphics technology.
Among them, the most popular ones are the Ryzen AI PRO 400 series desktop processors, which adopt Zen 5 desktop socket design and integrate Ryzen AI NPU for the first time to support local AI inference workloads. The series tops out at an 8-core/16-thread configuration, supporting up to eight RDNA 3.5 GPU compute units, as well as an XDNA 2 NPU rated at 50 TOPS.
Specific models include Ryzen AI 7 PRO 450G, Ryzen AI 5 PRO 440G / 440GE, and Ryzen AI 5 PRO 435G / 435GE. Among them, the G series is a 65W power consumption version, and the GE series is a 35W low-power consumption variant. These commercially designed Ryzen AI 400 series processors are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2026.
For now, AMD has only announced this preliminary information at MWC 2026, with more details and Linux benchmark results to follow.
