The Economy and Transport Ministries plan to hold talks with representatives of fuel traders, airports and airlines on Monday. German Finance Minister Lars Klingberg said that precautionary measures must be taken to ensure the security of aviation fuel supply.

European airlines on Tuesday urged the European Union to take urgent measures to deal with the fallout from the conflict in Iran, such as monitoring jet fuel supplies.
Germany has participated in the international strategic oil reserve release operation. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Germany's share is 4.9%, equivalent to 2.647 million tons, including 50,000 tons of aviation fuel.
