Nintendo has always been known for "surprising players", but a series of recent accurate revelations are putting the company into a passive position. Former Nintendo of America marketing director Kit Ellis recently revealed that with the indirect confirmation of the remake of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time", the company is "obviously very dissatisfied" with it.

Earlier this year, well-known whistleblower Nate The Hate claimed in a large-scale information disclosure that "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" will be launched with a Switch 2 remake. At the same time, he also predicted that Rhythm Heaven: Miracle Star and Splash: Smudge Team would be released later this summer - both pieces of information were later confirmed.
Crucially, Nate The Hate also mentioned that a new Star Fox game will be available in a few months. Nintendo has officially confirmed recently that the remake of "Star Fox 64" will be launched on Switch 2 next month. With the announcement of this news, the player community generally believes that the existence of the "Ocarina of Time" remake is "basically confirmed."

In this regard, former Nintendo of America marketing director Kit Ellis expressed his views on the latest episode of the "Kit and Krysta" podcast. He said bluntly: "If you were Nintendo, you would obviously go crazy about this. This is simply the worst-case scenario."
"Nintendo is a company that thrives on surprise - surprise is a key factor in making launches impactful and effective, and we've seen this time and time again." Typically, Ellis added, Nintendo "will sacrifice a lot to maintain that element of surprise, and now, that surprise has been taken away from it, at least for quite some time."

What’s even more troublesome for Nintendo is that Nate The Hate’s revelations don’t stop there. The leaked information also covers some of next year's plans, the most notable of which is a new 3D Mario game expected to be released in 2027. This means that the leak affects far more than just one Zelda game.
