On May 17, car blogger "Long Ge talks about electric cars" released an apology video yesterday, officially publicly admitting his mistake to BYD. In the video, the blogger confessed that a case involving unfair competition and commercial defamation of BYD involving accounts related to Mangedian New Energy ushered in the second instance. He was ultimately ordered to pay BYD 2 million yuan in compensation and posted a video to eliminate the impact.

He admitted that he had made some inappropriate remarks during the creation of content related to repairing BYD's three-electric system. The relevant remarks damaged the brand image and constituted commercial slander and unfair competition. He made a solemn apology for this.

Previously, as early as December 25, 2025, BYD's Legal Department announced the results of the first instance of the case. The court determined that "Long Ge Talking Trams" had fabricated and spread false information, damaging the reputation of the BYD brand. It ordered the defendant to stop the infringement, eliminate the impact, and compensate BYD 2 million yuan.

According to public information, the blogger has been posting videos on online platforms for a long time, frequently publishing false remarks and negative and derogatory content against many domestic car companies. In addition to BYD, he has also been sued by car companies such as Cyrus and Xpeng to defend their rights.
