Apple is preparing to launch a new "Gen AI" website. The related subdomain genai.apple.com has recently been added to Apple's domain name server records, but currently accessing this address will not jump to any actual web page. According to reports, this action took place a few weeks before Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), and Apple has previously publicly stated that it will release a series of "latest developments in AI" around its major software platforms at this conference.

Currently, Apple’s official website has launched the Apple Intelligence special page, so the specific purpose of genai.apple.com is not yet clear to the outside world. From the naming point of view, "Gen AI" is generally interpreted as the abbreviation of "Generative AI", echoing the generative artificial intelligence boom driven by products such as ChatGPT and Claude in recent years.

According to existing news, Apple’s upcoming major system updates such as iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 will integrate a large number of Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized Siri experience and support intelligent perception of the current screen content. Similar to chatbots such as ChatGPT, it is said that Apple will also launch a standalone Siri application that allows users to conduct multiple rounds of conversations with Siri and can automatically manage and delete historical chat records.

Apple Intelligence will also become the basis for Apple’s new round of accessibility upgrades, such as automatically generating subtitles for videos shot by users on iPhone to improve content accessibility. In addition, the voice control feature will gain natural language understanding capabilities, allowing users to complete interface operations through natural sentences like "Click for a guide to the best restaurants" (in Apple Maps) or "Click on that purple folder" (in the Files app).

In terms of productivity and efficiency, Apple Intelligence will help users more easily create complex automated processes in the Shortcuts app, while supporting a new "Create a Pass" option in the Wallet app for quickly generating custom tickets or cards. Safari is expected to automatically recognize and name tab groups, while Visual Intelligence can scan food nutrition labels, or extract information from business cards or paper documents and add it directly to the Contacts app.

Apple has confirmed that the WWDC 2026 opening keynote will be held at 10 a.m. local time on Monday, June 8, when more details surrounding Apple Intelligence, Siri, and the layout of “Gen AI” are expected to be officially revealed.
