Telegram has rolled out a new update, version 10.5.0, which brings a new interface for voice and video calls, as well as improved deletion animations, and the latest version is now available on Android. While messaging is Telegram's core feature, voice and video calls are also very useful, especially since they're end-to-end encrypted. In its latest update, Telegram has redesigned its user interface for voice and video calls, adding new animations and a better overall look.

Telegram explains:

In this update, we've completely redesigned the call interface, adding new animations and beautiful backgrounds that dynamically change based on the call status (ringing, active, or ended). The new interface requires fewer resources than before, which means it saves battery life and runs better on older devices.

The update also states that call quality has been improved, with more improvements to come in 2024.

At the same time, the new animation that debuted on the Telegram iOS app will now also land on Android and become a new animation for both platforms at the same time. This change is also known as the "Thanos Snap" effect, which enhances the experience and is also more energy-saving.

Finally, Telegram has further enhanced the bot function in this update. The bot can now react to messages, process quoted messages, send replies, etc.
