Last year, we heard that the OnePlus Watch 2 would finally be released this year, and a new rumor today certainly confirms that. According to Max Jambor, a person who has accurately revealed the news many times in the past, OnePlus Watch 2 will be officially released at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of next month.
Additionally, it is said to be running WearOS. Hopefully this is the WearOS 4 that was leaked before. This will make the OnePlus Watch 2 very different from the original OnePlus Watch, which launched back in 2021 and ran a proprietary operating system.
In September last year, Xiaomi launched Watch2Pro, entering the WearOS field in one fell swoop, and now it seems that another Chinese brand is ready to follow suit.
According to previously leaked specifications, OnePlus Watch 2 is equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen1 chip.
As we can see from the renders, OnePlus is sticking with a round dial for its second smartwatch. It appears to have a metal chassis, with a few buttons located to the right of the dial. It will also come with a regular rubber strap in black and white colours. It's important to note that these renderings were produced using actual images of prototypes from the testing phase. Therefore, details may vary slightly in the final product.
