[International Green Shipping Corridor Alliance established] On September 23, the Ministry of Transport reported that during the Global Sustainable Transportation Summit Forum (2026), the International Green Shipping Corridor Alliance was officially established. The International Green Shipping Corridor Alliance was jointly initiated by China International Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center, COSCO Shipping Lines, French CMA CGM, China Energy Construction Group, Shanghai Port Group, etc. It is the world's first non-governmental international organization based on international green shipping corridor cooperation. Currently, the founding members of the alliance include 45 leading companies from 12 countries. Its business scope covers the upstream and downstream of the green shipping industry chain, with obvious characteristics of diversification and internationalization. In the future, the alliance will coordinate and promote cooperation in the construction of international green shipping corridors, promote the integration of domestic rules such as green ships, green fuels, and green ports with international standards, accelerate the construction of an international certification system for green marine fuels, coordinate the implementation of transportation facilitation measures, create demonstration projects with international influence, and carry out technology research and development, achievement transformation and capacity building, and become a new platform to promote the innovation and transformation of the international shipping industry.
