[Zhejiang: More than 60% of new electricity consumption will come from non-fossil energy by 2030] On October 20, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government issued the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the construction of a beautiful Zhejiang (ecological and environmental protection), which proposed to promote the optimization and adjustment of the energy structure, strengthen the control of fossil energy consumption, improve the energy-saving management system, and strictly implement the total coal consumption control and fossil energy budget management of key energy-consuming units. Newly renovated and expanded coal-using projects shall implement coal reduction and substitution in accordance with the law. Implement a new generation of coal-fired power upgrading and transformation actions, implement energy-saving and carbon-reducing transformations for coal-fired power units that consume more than 300 grams of standard coal per kilowatt-hour for power supply, and orderly withdraw from the existing 300,000-kilowatt-class coal-fired thermal power units after their service period expires. Promote petrochemical refining and chemical bases to increase the proportion of green electricity and green hydrogen usage. Accelerate the replacement of existing high-polluting fuel industrial furnaces with clean energy. Develop nuclear power in a safe and orderly manner and promote nuclear energy heating. Vigorously develop photovoltaic power generation. Accelerate the construction of offshore wind power and external green power channels in provincial-controlled sea areas and improve the utilization rate of existing channels. By 2030, more than 60% of new electricity consumption will come from non-fossil energy, and the proportion of external power transmission will continue to increase.
