[China's artificial intelligence development speed and application scale lead the world] November 3rd, reporters learned from the "Strive for the 15th Five-Year Plan" series of press conferences held today (3rd) by the National Development and Reform Commission that China is currently leading the world in the development speed and application scale of artificial intelligence, and has achieved positive results in shaping new drivers of economic development, improving people's livelihood and well-being, and improving the level of government governance. Wang Ruomeng, deputy director of the Innovation and High-tech Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that artificial intelligence is moving from laboratories to factories, fields and offices. In the industrial field, more than 56,000 smart factories have emerged; in the agricultural field, the use of pesticides and fertilizers has been significantly reduced, and field management has become more precise. Ordinary farmers have changed the old method of relying on experience and relying on nature; in the service industry, financial, logistics, and foreign trade intelligent agents can automatically complete tasks such as contract review, customs declaration and tax declaration, and claims and loss verification. New business formats and new models such as "employee + intelligent agent" have emerged. At present, artificial intelligence has moved from single-point pilots to multi-link collaboration in R&D, production, and circulation, showing great potential in improving efficiency, reducing risks, and saving costs.
