[Macau establishes civil aviation industry development working group] On September 8, the Macau SAR government announced that in order to further promote the opening of the aviation market and the construction of Macau's international air transport hub (port) on the west bank of the Pearl River, the SAR government has established a "civil aviation industry development working group", with the Secretary for Transport and Public Works as the team leader, to strengthen cross-disciplinary departmental collaboration, promote the effective implementation of relevant policies, and comprehensively promote the high-quality development of the civil aviation industry in the Macau SAR. The main functions of the working group include: conducting comprehensive research on matters related to the development of the civil aviation industry such as commercial air passenger business licenses and the construction of an international air transport hub (port) on the west bank of the Pearl River in Macau and implementing various tasks in order to coordinate with the realization of the development goals and strategic positioning of Macau’s “Third Five-Year Plan” and help Macau better integrate into and serve the overall development of the country.
